Free open-source disk encryption software for Windows XP/2000/2003 and Linux.

Okay, who is going to give me a gun, i want to see this! Okay, just kidding, but I remember somewhere the story about a crash-free OS from some firm called Microsoft, and during the presentation by THE mr Gates himself we saw a big blue-screen, the same company which also made radio comercials in the netherlands that their XP OS would be virus-free and that you cant loose data, that same company anounced this week their new OS will be bullet-proof.. Somehow there is a reason i refuse to believe it. Maybe the old revolver with a small bullet can not penetrate the OS anymore, but that Anti-Tank gun .. well thats another story.

Well, some might think there he is again, ranting against EURid, but then, they did ask for it. But now they ticked me off again, this time a simple domain name dispute. Someone did get the idea to register the name: malaysia.eu with as his prior rights the words: Malay and Sia, first of all, how is it possible someone has the right on the word Malay as this is a common english word and therefore no rights should be able to bound to it, and second of all, the complete name is a countries name, yes you guessed it right: Malaysia. How can any european citizen be allowed to register this domain on its prior rights on those two words ?
Well for me it is impossible to start an official dispute, as we simply can not afford the costs for a domain we do not need to have, but this is not about what i want, this ranting is about justice, and this i can not find here. I can only hope the domain falls in good hands, but with the sneakyness this company did get to register this domain i doubt that. Guess i have to inform the malaysian embassy that someone is pulling this stunt, and hope they laugh and say, it is us .. no worries…

Last friday i got to read a news article about realVNC to have a serious security leak, now i did have this tool running somewhere and was surprised there was no patch available yet at the moment i did go to the homepage of www.realvnc.com. My surprise got even bigger to find that some company did publish even a proof of concept to show it was working, and that these people only notified realVNC on the day they did offer the proof of concept to the public. Unbelievable that they where doing this !! trying to showoff their smart ass brains, but not realising they might bring other people in danger, and needless to say plain rude to the author of the software, atleast give them a chance to fix the issue before you press the alarm button and provide the POC.
Because i really do not like the way this company did handle their findings, i will not link to them in this post. But if you are running realVNC, you can download a patched version at www.realvnc.com.
